Berlin: Voss'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung 1838 (2 Bde. in 1), VIII + 390 Seiten; VI + 387 Seiten + 1 Seite Druckfehler. Deutsche Erstausgabe. 21,5 x 13 cm.

Jeanne Etienne Dominique Esquirol war ab 1811 Arzt an der Salpêtrière und ab 1823 Leiter der Anstalt Charenton. Das Lehrbuch hier gilt als sein Hauptwerk. Bereits im Jahr der französischen Erstausgabe, wurde es ins Deutsche übersetzt, 1845 ins Englische.
